Biblical References to Noah

Noah's name appears 47 times throughout the Bible (Excluding 4 references to a different Noah). His name is repeated 35 times during the flood account from Gen 5:29 to Gen 10:32.  In the New Testament Luke and Matthew record Jesus parallel with the days of Noah and the time of His second coming. "Noah" means comfort. (Gen 5:29), he found favor with God (Gen 6:8), he did everything God commanded him (Gen 6:22, 7:5),  he was a priest (Gen 8:20), a father (Gen 9:19), a farmer (Gen 9:20), a sinner (Gen 9:24), the fifth oldest recorded man (Gen 9:29). God regarded him as righteous (Ez 14:14,20). He was included as an example of faith in Hebrews and he was a preacher of righteousness (2 Pet 2:5)
